Gardening is a “natural” way to engage students while supporting Common Core standards. You’ll learn how a library gardening program has incorporated informational texts, provided opportunities for directed writing, created enthusiasm for STEM topics, and how these can be incorporated in the classroom whether or not you have space for a garden plot.
